"Bas Wahi Naam Pata Hoga": Trolls Target Ananya Panday For Saying Virat Kohli Will Win Orange Cap In IPL 2023
IPL 2023, RCB vs KKR: Before the game, actress Ananya Panday said that Virat Kohli will end up winning the Orange Cap.
Virat Kohli is one megastar of Indian cricket and his popularity transcends cultures, religion and what not. The right-handed batter also enjoys popularity within the film industry, and more often than not, many celebrities name him as their favourite cricketer. Ananya Panday is no different! The Bollywood actress paid a visit to the Star Sports Studios on Wednesday before the game between Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore and Nitish Rana's Kolkata Knight Riders. Ananya Panday paid a visit in order to promote her next movie titled 'Dream Girl 2' which also stars Ayushmann Khurrana.
During her appearance, Ananya Panday was asked which batter would win the Orange Cap (award for scoring most number of runs in an IPL season).
Replying to this question, she said: "I think…this time, it will be (Virat) Kohli."

However, trolls are now targetting the 'Gehraiyaan' actress, saying that she just knows Virat Kohli’s name, and no other cricketer.
Here are some of the comments on social media:
"I argue that she knows nothing about cricket but correctly predicted something," wrote one user.
"It means, Virat will not win Orange Cap," commented another.
"It is like Kartik Aaryan giving his prediction about next NASA flight," commented one.
"Didi ko pura knowledge nahi hai," commented another.
"Isko bollywood bhi seriously nahi leta bas itna bolna hai," commented one user.
"Bas wahi naam pata hoga," commented another.
When one talks about the Orange Cap this year, Virat Kohli is at the second spot with 333 runs in eight matches. The top spot currently belongs to RCB captain Faf du Plessis as he has 422 runs to his name.
On Wednesday, RCB suffered a defeat at the hands of KKR.
RCB are currently at the fifth spot with 8 points while KKR have jumped to the seventh spot with 6 points.
