'Jaane Jaan', starring Kareena Kapoor, Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat, released on streaming platform Netflix on September 21, and the Sujoy Ghosh-directorial received mixed reviews. However, there was unanimous praise for the acting performances of all the lead stars in the movie. Fans also cannot stop raving about Jaideep Ahlawat's performance as 'Teacher' in 'Jaane Jaan'.

In the latest entertainment news, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma revealed that they received phone calls from Shah Rukh Khan after the release of 'Jaane Jaan'. SRK contacted the two to praise them for their performances in the Sujoy Ghosh-directorial.

Director Sujoy Ghosh in an interview with India Today, said that he sourced Vijay and Jaideep’s phone numbers to Shah Rukh Khan.

“That was the moment. He called me and he said, ‘Agar aap busy nahi hain thodi si baat karni hai, Shah Rukh bol raha hoon'. I replied, ‘Agar mujhe heart attack aaya, uske zimmedaar aap honge'," Jaideep Ahlawat said at the India Today Conclave.

For the unversed, Jaideep Ahlawat had shared the screen with SRK in 2017-film 'Raees'.

“I was fortunate enough to work with him in a very small part in Raees. It just happened; somebody else was cast in that role, and I was finalised at 11:30 in the night. Call time was 7 the next morning. I worked with him for four days, and it was the most amazing experience. You can’t describe working with Shah Rukh Khan, you have to experience it," said Jaideep.

"The way he treats you, the way he talks to you, it’s so mesmerising. He remembers everything; the day he called me, he was talking about Raees," he added.

Jaideep Ahlawat then said that working with SRK was the only time he has been star-struck, and that he was visibly "slow" on his first take with the star.

It was then that Vijay chimed in to say, "We are living in his shadow. Everything about the man is so inspiring. He’s set a benchmark right now which only he can cross, as a person, as an actor, as a star. I can count every time I’ve met him, it’s so significant, even if it’s a five-second meeting or a 10-second handshake. You remember. He touches your heart."

For the unversed, 'Jaane Jaan' is an adaptation of the Japanese novel 'The Devotion of Suspect X'.

Talking about SRK, he was last seen in Atlee's 'Jawan', and the movie has already become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all-time in India.
