As Mumbai’s Ganesh Chaturthi festivities continue with grandeur, the city’s most iconic pandal, Lalbaugcha Raja, welcomed several Bollywood stars seeking divine blessings. Among the high-profile visitors were Param Sundari’s lead actors Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra, accompanied by their film’s director, Tushar Jalota. The trio’s recent visit combined festive devotion with professional hopes, as they prayed for the success of their new release. But beyond the rituals, the moment also revealed a protective gesture by Sidharth Malhotra that quickly caught public attention.

Janhvi Kapoor looked resplendent in a traditional red saree accentuated with a gold temple border, embodying festive elegance. Standing beside her, Sidharth Malhotra complemented the mood in a pastel pink kurta-pyjama set, his understated look highlighting the simplicity of Ganesh Chaturthi traditions. Together, they made a picture-perfect pair at the crowded pandal.

However, the celebration’s sheer scale soon turned overwhelming. Paparazzi videos from the visit showed Janhvi appearing visibly uncomfortable as the surging crowd pressed in around her. At that moment, Sidharth stepped in protectively, shielding her and ensuring she had enough space to move without distress. His gesture struck a chord with fans online, further fuelling admiration for the duo’s bond on and off screen.

Soon after the video surfaced online, several social media users reacted to it. One user wrote, “Why send her in that crowd if it makes her uncomfortable?”

Another one added, “She is very scared.”

A third one commented, “Sidharth is so sweet to care for her.”

Despite the chaos, Janhvi Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, and director Tushar Jalota completed their darshan at Lalbaugcha Raja, offering prayers not only as devotees but also for the success of ‘Param Sundari’.

The romantic comedy, directed by Jalota and backed by Maddock Films, features Janhvi as Sundari and Sidharth as Param.

Set against the lush landscapes of Kerala, the film explores a vibrant cross-cultural romance between a North Indian boy and a South Indian girl. Apart from the lead pair, the ensemble cast includes Renji Panicker, Manjot Singh, Sanjay Kapoor, Siddhartha Shankar, and Inayat Verma, adding depth and charm to the narrative.

Originally planned for a July release, ‘Param Sundari’ faced a minor delay. It released in theatres today, promising audiences a mix of love, comedy, and cultural celebration.
