“What Enables Such…”: Janhvi Kapoor Furious Over Teen’s Death In Jaipur Crash
Janhvi Kapoor strongly reacted to the tragic Jaipur accident that killed a teenage girl, questioning the recklessness of drunk driving and calling for greater accountability.
Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has strongly condemned the recent road accident in Jaipur that claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl. Expressing her frustration and grief, Janhvi took to her Instagram Stories to question the alarming rise in reckless driving incidents and the lack of accountability when it comes to drinking and driving. Reposting a video shared by Jist that reported the tragic incident, Janhvi wrote, “What enables such reckless behaviour? What makes anyone think it's okay to drive under the influence of alcohol and endanger themselves and people around them?”
She didn’t hold back, further adding, “The casual nature of this crime is baffling. The amount of deaths and injuries due to drinking and driving even more so. Why aren't we more respectful and aware about the fact that it is AGAINST THE LAW.”

According to a report by India Today, the accident occurred in Rajasthan’s Jaipur on Monday night, when a woman identified as Sanskriti, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, rammed her car into a bike carrying three people. Tragically, a 14-year-old girl named Asima lost her life, while the two others (her father and cousin) sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
This isn’t the first time Janhvi has spoken out on such incidents. Just last month, she reacted strongly to a horrific accident in Vadodara, Gujarat. A 20-year-old law student, reportedly speeding, crashed his car into a group of two-wheeler riders. The crash killed a woman on the spot and left four others injured. Janhvi called out the behaviour in a post, saying, “This is appalling and enraging. Sick to my stomach about anyone thinking this kind of behaviour is something they can get away with. Intoxicated or not.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Janhvi Kapoor will soon be seen opposite Sidharth Malhotra in ‘Param Sundari’, a romantic comedy that tells the story of a charming clash between a “North ka munda” and a “South ki Sundari.” Directed by Tushar Jalota, the film is slated for release in theatres on July 25.
She’s also gearing up for the much-anticipated Telugu film ‘Peddi’, starring alongside Ram Charan. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film also features Shiva Raj Kumar, Divyenndu, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.
