The sudden death of actress Shefali Jariwala has sparked a conversation around media sensitivity. On Saturday, as news of her passing spread, paparazzi were seen crowding around her grieving husband Parag Tyagi, drawing widespread criticism online. Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan condemned the intrusive behaviour, urging photographers to respect the privacy of the bereaved family during such difficult times. Now, his ‘Bawaal’ co-star Janhvi Kapoor has extended her support to his message. For those unaware, Varun took to Instagram on Sunday to call for more compassion and restraint while covering celebrity deaths.

“Again, one more passing of a soul being insensitively covered by the media. I just don't understand why do u have to cover someone's grief. Everyone looks so uncomfortable with this. How is this benefiting anyone? & my request to my friends in the media, this isn't the way someone would want their final journey covered,” he wrote.

It must be mentioned that Varun Dhawan did not mention anyone in his post but the note came right after Shefali Jariwala's death. It also needs to be stated that the post is no longer available on Varun Dhawan's Instagram as it seems to have been deleted.

Janhvi Kapoor had re-shared Varun Dhawan's post on Instagram Stories, saying, “Finally someone said it.”
