Janhvi Kapoor's Big Reveal, Says She Found Her Morphed Photos On "Almost Pornographic Pages"
Janhvi Kapoor spoke about how she was left shocked after discovering her morphed photos on "inappropriate, almost pornographic pages."
Janhvi Kapoor, who was last seen in Prime Video's 'Bawaal' alongside Varun Dhawan, has recalled how she was first photographed by the paparazzi when she was just 10 years old. She also talked about how she was left shocked when she found her photos splashed across Yahoo's homepage, which was one of the most popular websites back in the day. Talking about the same, the 'Dhadak' actress spoke about how she looked "very uncomfortable" and not "groomed", which alienated her from her peers. “I don’t think they understood it so they started disliking me. I didn’t understand what was happening,” she told Newslaundry.
“My friends looked at me differently, they poked fun at me for not getting waxed," she added.
Janhvi Kapoor also spoke about how she was left shocked after discovering her morphed photos on "inappropriate, almost pornographic pages."
“People see these manipulated images and assume they’re real. That deeply concerns me," she said.
When asked whether she has any "first memory" of being clicked by the paps, Janhvi said, "“I don’t recall any first memory of being in public. It has always been a part of my life. The cameras have always been around. In our childhood, it was like we would go out. And people, with or without consent, took pictures of me and my sister.”
For the unversed, Janhvi Kapoor is the daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and late film star Sridevi.
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor was last seen in 'Bawaal', directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film is jointly produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari under the banners Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Earthsky Pictures respectively.
Apart from ‘Bawaal’, Janhvi will also be seen in ‘Mr And Mrs Mahi’ co-starring Rajkummar Rao. The film, directed by Sharan Sharma, will release on March 15, 2024.
Janhvi Kapoor will also star alongside superstar Jr. NTR in ‘Devara’, which is scheduled to release next year. The movie stars Saif Ali Khan as the main antagonist.
