Watch Video: Javed Akhtar Gets Annoyed, Tells Paps “Shor Mat Karo” As He Poses With Shabana Azmi
Javed Akhtar, who turned 79 recently, celebrated his birthday with his wife Shabana Azmi and other celebrities.
Javed Akhtar, a renowned poet, lyricist, and screenwriter, has made significant contributions to the Indian film industry. With a career spanning several decades, Javed Akhtar has worked on numerous iconic tracks. Many of his songs include ‘Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum’ and ‘Dekha Ek Khwab’, ‘Tum Ko Dekha To Yeh Khayal Aaya’, ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha’, ‘Ghar Se Nikalte’, ‘Sandese Aate Hai’, ‘Panchchi Nadiyaan’ and ‘Radha Kaise Naa Jale’. The celebrated lyricist and screenwriter turned 79 on Wednesday. Reportedly, a party was held in Mumbai to celebrate Javed Akhtar’s birthday.
From Farhan Akhtar to Boney Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, several celebrities were seen arriving for the birthday party at Anil Kapoor's house. As media was stationed outside the venue, Javed Akhtar stepped outside with a few of his friends and family members to pose for pictures.
In a video shared by Varinder Chawla on Instagram, Javed Akhtar can be seen posing with his wife-actress Shabana Azmi. He seemed to be unhappy with the chaos outside Anil Kapoor’s house.

In the video, several photographers kept calling his name while he was trying to pose with his wife, Shabana Azmi. Javed Akhtar then told the paparazzi to not make noise as he said, “Shor mat karo.”
Javed Akhtar went on to hold his wife Shabana Azmi's hand and pose for the cameras. The senior writer-lyricist also thanked the paparazzi who wished him on his special day by singing the birthday song.
The acclaimed lyricist wore a traditional kurta and a jacket for the party. Shabana Azmi accompanied her husband for the party in a black printed kaftan dress.
Javed Akhtar also posed with his children, Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar. His close friends Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor also joined them.
