Shah Rukh Khan is unstoppable in 2023.

There is no stopping Shah Rukh Khan in 2023. What a memorable year it is turning out to be for King Khan! First, 'Pathaan' made more than Rs 1,000 crore at the worldwide box office, and now the same feat has been repeated nine months later with SRK's latest release 'Jawan'. The movie directed by Atlee, which also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, went past the Rs 1,000 crore mark at the global box office on Sunday (September 24). 'Jawan' has taken 18 days to achieve this number globally.

With this, Shah Rukh Khan has become the first Indian actor to achieve a monumental feat. SRK is now the only Indian actor to have two movies that have made more than Rs 1,000 crore at the worldwide box office.

The only Indian personality other than SRK to achieve this feat is acclaimed director SS Rajamouli. The filmmaker has 'Baahubali 2' and 'RRR' as his two Rs 1,000 crore movies at the global box office.

However, what makes the feat more memorable for SRK is that he has achieved the feat in a single calendar year.

As per Pinkvilla journalist Himesh Mankad, the worldwide gross of Shah Rukh Khan’s films ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’ is higher than the global gross of all other Hindi films put together in 2023.

Talking about 'Jawan', the Atlee directorial collected Rs 15 crore nett on Sunday, taking the total collection to Rs 560.83 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.

'Jawan' has already become the highest-grossing Hindi movie in India after going past 'Pathaan' on Saturday. Now, it needs to be seen how much 'Jawan' ends up making in total. The movie has a free run till September 28, and then it will face competition from 'Fukrey 3' and 'The Vaccine War'.

'Jawan' was released in theatres on September 7, and it has received immense love from critics and audiences alike. The movie has been praised for its social message and powerful performances.

Recently, a 'Jawan' success meet was also held in Mumbai, and it was attended by SRK, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Vijay Sethupathi, Anirudh Ravichander, Ridhi Dogra and director Atlee. At the success meet, SRK revealed that many crew members from the South shifted to Mumbai for four years.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, ‘Jawan’ features Shah Rukh Khan in the dual role of Vikram Rathore and his son Azad. It also stars Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in special appearances. The movie also features Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra, Ashlesha Thakur, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan and Aaliyah Qureishi in pivotal roles.
