"Not My Girls...": King Khan's Witty Response To Vijay Sethupathi Not Being Able To Approach His Crush
During a ‘Jawan’ event, Vijay Sethupathi recalled being unable to approach a girl he had a crush on because she was gushing over SRK.
The wait is almost over as the 'Jawan' trailer will finally be releasing later today. In the latest entertainment news, ahead of the much-anticipated ‘Jawan’ trailer reveal, the team of 'Jawan' held a pre-release event in Chennai, and it was attended by the likes of actors Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi and Sunil Grover, director Alee, actresses Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra. The event was also graced by music composer Anirudh Ravichander.
For the unversed, SRK is playing the lead role in 'Jawan' while Vijay Sethupathi would be playing the antagonist. During the event, Vijay Sethupathi recalled being unable to approach a girl he had a crush on because she was gushing over SRK.
“When I was in school, I was in love with a girl. But she didn’t know. Every Jaanu has a Ram after all (reference to his 2018 film '96'). But that girl was in love with SRK. It has taken these many years to have my revenge," Vijay Sethupathi said.
When the turn of SRK came to speak during the event, he spoke about the statement given by Vijay Sethupathi.
"Everyone here spoke in Tamil and I am sure they all spoke good things about me. Except for Vijay Sethupathi, who was talking about a girl. Let me tell you one thing sir, you can have your revenge but not my girls. They are mine," said SRK.
During the event, director Atlee shared a story regarding SRK, saying he took outside the residence of SRK 'Mannat' 13 years ago, and it is a matter of fate that the residence opened up for him when he approached the actor for 'Jawan'.
“I will tell you a story. When I was working with director Shankar for Enthiran in Mumbai. I was told by my friend that we are shooting outside SRK’s house. He asked me to pose in front of the gate for a pic. After 13 years, the same gate opened and King Khan himself went, ‘Welcome, Atlee sir’," said Atlee.
Apart from SRK, 'Jawan' also features Deepika Padukone in a cameo appearance. As per several reports, Thalapathy Vijay and Sanjay Dutt are also expected to feature in a guest role.
'Jawan' is slated for a worldwide release on September 7, 2023.
