‘Jawan’ Set To Be Bigger Box-Office Hit Than ‘Pathaan’? What Overseas Advance Booking Data Says

The Atlee-directorial will be releasing in theatres worldwide on September 7, 2023, and the advance booking for the latest SRK film has already started in some regions of the world. as per Pinkvilla, 'Jawan' is already outperforming 'Pathaan' in terms of advance booking overseas. For the uninitiated, 'Pathaan' had recorded some unprecedented numbers when it comes to advance booking overseas.
In the United States, 'Jawan' has already clocked USD 100K for its first day, 19 days before the release.
For the unversed, 'Pathaan' had the highest-ever opening for a Bollywood film in North America with USD 1.49 million on the opening day.
If the current trend is anything to go by, 'Jawan' will definitely break this record, come September 7.
Pre-sales of 'Jawan' tickets are slated to begin in Canada in the next couple of days.
As per Pinkvilla, tickets of 'Jawan' are selling like hot cakes and tickets worth GBP 35K have already been sold in Cineworld and Odeon for the first day outpacing what Pathaan had just a week before release.
Advance bookings in Australia are currently 20 per cent higher than 'Pathaan' at the same point of time.
The Middle East is also reporting some strong pre-sale numbers, with the leading cinema chain of the region, VOX selling 930 tickets as of Tuesday morning.
Talking about 'Jawan', it is an action drama directed by Atlee and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.
The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra.
It is scheduled to release on September 7, 2023 in Standard, IMAX, 4DX and other premium formats.
The new Hindi movie is being distributed by Yash Raj Films in overseas territory.
Apart from 'Jawan', SRK will also be seen in 'Dunki' this year. His latest release 'Pathaan' is currently the highest-grossing Hindi movie of all time in India, however this record may likely be broken by 'Gadar 2' in the coming days.
'Pathaan' had collected Rs 520 crore in the Hindi version, while 'Gadar 2' collection currently stands at Rs 389 crore.
