"Vents Out His...": Juhi Chawla Says It's "Not Good" To Watch KKR's IPL Matches With Shah Rukh Khan
Juhi Chawla mentioned that she and Shah Rukh Khan are not the best people to watch an IPL game with.
Actors Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla co-own Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the fans often wonder how these two are as owners of a cricket team. Whether they are hands-on owners or do they let the professionals take care of their job? Well, we now know that Shah Rukh Khan is just like a normal fan, and he ends up losing it if KKR do not perform as per expectations, and this has been revealed by none other than Juhi Chawla.
Juhi Chawla has mentioned that she and Shah Rukh Khan are not the best people to watch an IPL game, as they become very tense when their team is playing.
"IPL is always exciting. We all are in front of our television sets. When our team plays, it is interesting to watch them and we all are highly tense,” Juhi Chawla said during Routes 2 Roots event in Mumbai, as per news agency IANS.
"It is not good to watch a match with him (Shah Rukh Khan) because when our team is not performing well, he vents out his anger at me. I tell him to tell that to the team and not me. So we are not the best people to watch the match with. I think the same goes for a lot of owners. They all can be seen sweating while their teams play," she added.
For the unversed, SRK and Juhi Chawla share a close bond, and back in the day, they were one of Bollywood's most-beloved on-screen couples.
KKR has been a part of the IPL since the inception of the league in 2008. The franchise has won the tournament two times -- 2012 and 2014. On both occasions, the team was led by Gautam Gambhir.
Hence, it is no surprise that the management brought Gambhir in as the mentor of the team ahead of the IPL 2024 season.
KKR has gotten off to an excellent start in IPL 2024 as the franchise has won its opening three games. The team is currently at the top of the points table with 6 points from 3 games, and a net run-rate of +2.52.
The team will next play against Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings on Monday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
