Kajol Praises SRK, Aamir Khan’s “Professionalism” But Feels Salman’s Star Power Is Unmatched
Kajol opened up about working with SRK, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. While she called SRK and Aamir extremely “professional”, she stated that Salman’s stardom is unmatched.
Bollywood actress Kajol is one of those stars who has had the privilege of working with all three Khans - Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir. She has starred in several memorable projects with these three megastars. Kajol, who is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming horror-drama 'Maa', recently spoke about the three Khans and their distinct qualities. While speaking highly about both Shah Rukh and Aamir, Kajol stated that Salman's star power remains unmatched.
Kajol praised Shah Rukh and Aamir's professionalism, saying both of them are very serious about their craft and discipline.
“Salman is Salman Khan. You can’t argue with that. He’s remained the same over the years, and that in itself is incredible. Even Aamir once said, ‘Salman is definitely a bigger star than me, because no matter how his film performs, it still manages to cross ₹100 crore. And his fans adore him like crazy',” Kajol said in an interview with Galatta India.
When informed that Akshay Kumar has matched Salman in terms of box office with 18 films crossing the Rs 100 crore mark, Kajol said, “Wow, that’s amazing! But when we talk about sheer star power, I think even Akshay would agree—you just can’t touch Salman’s star power.”
For the unversed, Kajol and Salman Khan have starred together in films such as 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya', and 'Karan Arjun'.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kajol was last seen in ‘Do Patti’ alongside Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh. She will next appear in the mythological horror film ‘Maa’.
‘Maa’ has been directed by Vishal Furia. The horror film has been produced by Devgn Films. The film also stars Ronit Roy, Indranil Sengupta, and Kherin Sharma in key roles.
It tells the story of a mother’s determination to protect her daughter from the demonic curses of a haunted village. The movie is slated to release in theatres on June 27.
Apart from ‘Maa’, she will also star in the action-thriller ‘Maharagni-Queen of Queens’, directed by Charan Tej Uppalapati. Besides Kajol, it also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Prabhu Deva, Jisshu Sengupta, Aditya Seal, and Pramod Pathak.
