Kajol's 'Trial' co-star Noor Malabika Das has died. As per news agency ANI, the actress was found dead in her Mumbai flat, and the police are suspecting suicide angle in the case. For the unversed, a former air hostess, was last seen in Kajol in the 2023 legal drama, 'Trial', which is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Noor Malabika Das was reportedly 37 years old, and hailed from Assam. As per news agency ANI, Noor Malabika Das' neighbours called police into action after they noticed a foul smell coming from her flat.
Her body was recovered in a decomposed condition from her flat in Lokhandwala.
"The body of actress Noor Malabika Das was recovered in a decomposed condition in her house in Andheri, Oshiwara area. Noor Malabika Das died by suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan of the house, when the people in the neighbourhood complained of a foul smell coming from the house, they informed the police. The police reached the spot and took the body for postmortem: Mumbai Police," news agency ANI reported.
As per a report in Mid-Day, the police collected medicines, her mobile phone and diary during the search of the house.
The same report states that despite efforts to contact her family, no one came forward. This was the main reason behind the police performing her last rites with the assistance of the Mamdani Health and Education Trust NGO.
“We spoke to her family. They had returned to their native place two weeks ago. Investigation is underway,” an officer told Mid-Day.
Speaking of the actress, she worked in Hindi films and web series such as 'Siskiyaan', 'Walkaman', and 'Teekhi Chatni.
