“Tevar Bhi Mardana Hai”: Kangana Ranaut Dismisses Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Idea Of Working With Her
Kangana Ranaut has reacted to collaborating with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, saying if she were to work with the ‘Animal’ director, his actors would become “feminists”.
Indian filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for helming movies like ‘Arjun Reddy’, ‘Kabir Singh’, and ‘Animal’, continues to remain in public discourse and his statements continue to generate polarising reactions. Recently, Sandeep Reddy Vanga had praised Kangana Ranaut for her impeccable acting prowess, saying he wouldn't mind working with her even when she has criticised ‘Animal’ publicly. However, Kangana Ranaut has now reacted to this statement by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, saying if she were to work with the ‘Animal’ director, his actors would become “feminists”.
Kangana Ranaut reposted a clip from a recent interview of Sandeep Reddy Vanga, asking the Indian director to keep making “blockbusters” as the “industry needs him”.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Kangana Ranaut wrote, “Samiksha aur ninda ek nahi hote, har tarah ki kala ki samiksha aur charcha honi chahiye, ye ek samanya baat hai. Sandeep ji ne meri samkesha pe muskurate huye mere prati aadhar ka bhav dikhaya, ye kaha ja sakta hai ki wo sirf mardana film he nahi banate, unke tevar bhi mardana hai. Dhanyawad sir.”
“Lekin kripa karke mujhe koi bhi role mat dena nahi toh aapke alpha male heroes feminist ho jayenge aur fir aapki filmein bhi pit jayengi. Aap blockbuster banao, film industry ko aapki zarurat hai,” Kangana Ranaut added.

Earlier, Kangana Ranaut had criticised Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri’s ‘Animal’ on social media, calling it a film that encourages “woman beating”.
Reacting to this criticism by Kangana Ranaut, Sandeep Reddy Vanga had said, “I genuinely loved her performance in Queen, and so many other films. So if she is giving a negative comment about Animal, I don’t mind. I don’t get angry also cause I have seen her work… I don’t feel bad.”
Speaking of ‘Animal’, the new Hindi movie collected more than Rs 500 crore in India. Globally, it ended its run with a collection of more than Rs 900 crore.
The 2023 Hindi movie continues to receive criticism on social media for its portrayal of toxic masculinity, misogyny and violence. Recently, Ranbir Kapoor won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance in ‘Animal’.
