In a recent media interaction, director and producer Karan Johar was asked about a political event that he would want make a movie on. Answering the question, he said that he is not sure about directing, but he is really looking forward to watch 'Emergency'. For the uninitiated, 'Emergency' stars Kangana Ranaut, and the movie has been directed by the actress herself. For those unaware, Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar don't see eye-to-eye. The actress has even called the director several names, such as "flagbearer of nepotism", and "movie mafia."

Asked at an Indian Express event, if he’d ever like to make a film about a political event, Karan said, “The Emergency is being made and I am excited to watch it.”

Now, in the latest entertainment news, Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the comment made by Karan Johar, saying she is "scared" as the last time Karan Johar was excited for her film, a "smear campaign" was unleashed upon her.

"Ha ha last time, when he said he was excited to see Manikarnika, the worst smear campaign of my life was unleashed upon me on its releasing weekend," Kangana said in a tweet.

“Almost all main actors working in the film were paid to sling mud on me and sabotage the film and suddenly the most successful weekend of my life was turned into a living nightmare for me… Ha ha I am scared now, very scared… because he is excited again," she added.

For the unversed, 'Emergency' features Kangana Ranaut as the former India Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the movie is slated for a November 2023 release.

Earlier, director Krish had accused Kangana Ranaut of hijacking his film, ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’. Krish was removed from the project midway, and Kangana Ranaut had said that she shot significant portions of the movie, for which she ended up taking a co-director credit, as reported by Hindustan Times.

'Manikarnika' actress Mishti Chakravarthy had also slammed Kangana Ranaut, saying her role was cut short, and she would have never done the movie if she knew that Kangana would be directing it.
