Did Kangana Ranaut Take A Dig At Tiger Shroff-Kriti Sanon’s ‘Ganapath’ And Divya Khosla Kumar’s ‘Yaariyan 2’?
Kangana Ranaut, who is gearing up for the release of ‘Tejas’, recently said that she gets “anxious” before her films come out because they are “dissected” badly.
Kangana Ranaut, who has proved her acting mettle with movies like ‘Queen’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, ‘Fashion’, ‘Panga’ and ‘Gangster’, is currently promoting her upcoming film ‘Tejas’. And every time Kangana Ranaut interacts with the media, trust her to pass some headline-making statements. Kangana Ranaut, known for fearlessly putting forth her point, has never hesitated to slam her co-actors in the industry. In a recent interview, Kangana Ranaut took a dig at Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Ganapath’ and Divya Khosla Kumar’s ‘Yaariyan 2’.
Recently, Kangana Ranaut interacted with Times Now Navbharat and shared that she feels “anxious” around the release of her films. She also clarified that it’s not because she is unsure about the film but because of the unpleasant things that are written and said about her around her film’s release date.
Kangana Ranaut also said that she is not “scared” when her film’s release is around the corner, but she definitely undergoes a “sense of anxiety”.
She said, “I feel anxious on a Thursday or Friday.”
She further said that people are not as critical of other films as they are of her films while seemingly taking a dig at ‘Ganapath’ and ‘Yaariyan 2’.
Citing the example of recent box office duds ‘Ganapath’ and ‘Yaariyan 2’, which released last week, Kangana Ranaut said, “The films that came last week, unfortunately, they couldn’t work. But nobody made fun of anyone or bad-mouthed anyone. Nobody dissected those films. But when it comes to me or my films, such bad things, such unpleasant words are said, that maybe your ears will start bleeding. Itni gandi gandi news aati hai that I naturally worry about these things. PR mafia is my enemy and I don’t have any PR either.”
Kangana Ranaut also feels that even if her film will do a business of Rs 100 crore, it still won’t get the “hit” tag.
She said, “When my films do a business of Rs 100 crore, they say the film’s budget was high, so this can’t be counted as a hit. And, if it doesn’t do a business of Rs 100 crore, then they spread fake news about it.”
The Bollywood actress then shared that her upcoming film ‘Tejas’ “has already been sold”, but there will be “fake news” about its success.
“They will spread fake news, twist the numbers and fool common people as they don’t understand these things,” Kangana Ranaut said.
Kangana Ranaut further said, “I get calls from well-wishers that so and so has happened and I wonder what kind of things are being fed to them. What kind of perception is being created? Such things demotivate me. I am an artist, I will definitely keep getting work. But when it comes to your image, it affects you.”
Kangana Ranaut will be next seen as Tejas Gill, an Indian Air Force officer in ‘Tejas’, set to release in theatres on October 27, 2023.
‘Tejas’ is written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara. The movie also stars Anshul Chauhan, Varun Mitra, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Vishak Nair.
Apart from 'Tejas', Kangana Ranaut will also be seen in 'Emergency'. The movie is based on the life of former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. The movie has been directed by Kangana Ranaut herself.
