Kangana Ranaut has taken an indirect dig at reports claiming that Ranbir Kapoor has been cast in 'Ramayana'.

The rumours mills are rife that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be playing the role of Lord Ram and Sita respectively in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'. As per various reports, 'KGF' star Yash is expected to play Raavan in the movie. Now, in the latest entertainment news, actress Kangana Ranaut has taken an indirect dig at these reports, and went on to term Ranbir Kapoor as a "skinny white rat."

Taking to her Instagram story, Kangana Ranaut said: "Recently I am hearing news about another coming up Bolly Ramayana… Where a skinny white rat (so-called actor) who desperately needs some sun tan and conscience he is infamous for doing nasty underhand PR about almost everyone in the industry… known for womanising and drug addiction after desperately trying to prove himself Lord Shiva in a trilogy (which no one watched or want to make more parts of) has now grown fancy to be Lord Rama…”

“Whereas a young southern superstar who is known to be self-made, a devoted family man a traditionalist also according to Valmiki ji description he looks more like Lord Rama in his complexion, demeanour and facial features… is offered to play Ravana… What kind of Kalyuga is this?? No pale-looking druggie soy boy should play Lord Rama… Jai Shri Ram," she added.

Kangana takes dig at Ranbir Kapoor

For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had starred together in 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva' along with Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna and Shah Rukh Khan.

This is not the first time that Kangana Ranaut has taken potshots at Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. Quite often in the past, the 'Queen' actress has slammed the Bollywood couple.

Meanwhile, Brahmastra went on to become one of the highest-grossing Hindi movies of 2022, and two further installments of the franchise have been announced.

On June 16, Om Raut's 'Adipurush' will be releasing in the theatres which is based on the epic 'Ramayana'. The movie stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, Devdatta Nage and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles.

Talking about Kangana, the actress will be next seen in 'Emergency', which is based on the life of former India Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.
