'Gadar 2' released in the theatres on Friday (August 11), and the new Hindi movie is making a big splash at the box office. The new Hindi movie is poised to collect a significant amount of money at the box office, and in the latest Bollywood celebrity news, actress Kangana Ranaut has congratulated the entire team of 'Gadar 2' on the massive success. Kangana Ranaut shared a video of large crowds gathering outside a theatre and she said that the new Hindi movie has brought excitement and nationalism back into the lives of the people.

Kangana Ranaut also said that the film could have easily collected Rs 65-70 crore on the opening day had it not released on the same day as another big film.

"No mafia politics, no bought reviews, no fake propaganda, no buying of tickets through bulk corporate bookings, no cartoon looking actors, proper manly hero and proper massy content," Kangana Ranaut wrote on Instagram Story.

"Forget holiday even if it was a solo release first day could easily be 65-70cr, but it's not just the economic drought that's getting over in the film industry but look at people, happy to see cinema bring excitement and nationalism back in people's lives. Love live Tara Singh @imsunnydeol," she added.

Earlier, Salman Khan had also lauded Sunny Deol for the massive success of 'Gadar 2'.

“Dhai kilo ka haath equals challis crore ki opening (His 2.5kg hand is equal to a ₹40 crore box office opening). Sunny paaji is killing it. Congrats to the entire team of Gadar 2," Salman Khan wrote on Instagram.

Kangana Ranaut also shared Salman Khan's Instagram post, and she added a bunch of clapping hand emojis. 

'Gadar 2' had collected Rs 40.10 crore on the opening day, and it became the second-highest opener of 2023 in terms of Hindi films in India. On Saturday, 'Gadar 2' went on a further overdrive, collecting Rs 43 crore, taking the two-day total to Rs 83 crore.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam, and Pankaj Tripathi-starrer 'OMG 2' which released on Friday as well, has collected more than Rs 25 crore in 2 days.

'Gadar 2' has been directed by Anil Sharma and it stars Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa and Gaurav Chopra in the lead roles.

For the unversed, 'Gadar' had released on the same day as Aamir Khan's 'Lagaan', and the movie was set during the partition of India. The plot of the 2001 film revolved around Tara Singh, played by Sunny Deol, and how he fell in love with Sakina, a Pakistani girl, played by Ameesha Patel.
