Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Kangana Ranaut announced that ‘Emergency’ will be releasing in theatres on June 14, 2024.

For the unversed, ‘Emergency’ is all set to clash with Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Chandu Champion’ at the box office. ‘Chandu Champion’, directed by Kabir Khan, is said to a sports biopic but the makers are yet to declare the sports icon the film is based on.

As per reports, the film is rumoured to be the biopic of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist.

Coming back to ‘Emergency’, the makers also unveiled an announcement video on Tuesday. It showed the country in chaos as protestors started creating ruckus on the streets and the whole incident seems to be during the period of emergency. Kangana Ranaut's voiceover as Indira Gandhi also stole the show.

"Mujhe iss desh ki raksha karne se koi nahi rok sakta kyuki, India is Indira, and Indira is India," Kangana said in the teaser promo video.

‘Emergency’, which has been directed by Kangana Ranaut herself, also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, late Satish Kaushik and Shreyas Talpade.

The film has been written by Ritesh Shah, who had earlier penned Kangana's previous film 'Dhaakad'.

Recently, Kangana Ranaut had also attended Ayodha Ram Mandir's Pran Pratishtha ceremony on Monday.

The actress was unable to hide her excitement as she was seen screaming 'Jai Shri Ram'. She shared the video on her Instagram, and captioned the post as, "Ram aa gaye."
