‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ is all set for a star-studded musical evening as host Kapil Sharma will welcome an ensemble of celebrated singers – Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar Ravijani, Shaan, and Neeti Mohan – in the upcoming episode. A leaked promo teased a laughter-filled night, complete with Kapil’s signature banter and cheeky digs. In one standout moment, Kapil poked fun at Udit Narayan’s controversy, where he got a little too up close and personal to a fan.

In the video, Kapil took a dig at Udit Narayan, saying, “Shaan bhai aur Udit sir, dono haste haste gaate hain, dono se milne fan stage par aate hain. Yeh baat alag hai ki Shaan bhai jaadu ki jhappi dete hai aur Udit ji toh jaadu ki kardete hain.”
The promo also featured a humorous exchange between Navjot Singh Sidhu and Kapil. Sidhu delivered a poetic line – “Ishq jinko hai vatan se, khudi ko mitate rahenge. Shamma mehfil main jalti rahegi aur parwaane mehfil main aate rahenge.”
Kapil joked about Sidhu flirting with Archana Puran Singh and said, “Shamma bhale hi jalti rahe, parwaane aur bhi aate rahenge, jaise hi camera hata, hum Archana ka haath dabate rahenge.”
Fans flooded the comments section with laughing emojis and reactions like, “Kapil needs to hesitate,” “Hesitation left the chat,” and “Kapil, you rock.”
In February this year, a video from one of Udit Narayan’s live concerts went viral, showing him getting a little too up close and personal to a female fan when she leaned in for a cheek kiss during a selfie.
The clip sparked discussions around consent and inappropriate behaviour, with old videos resurfacing of him kissing singers like Alka Yagnik and Shreya Ghoshal.
Udit Narayan later dismissed the backlash, calling these “affectionate gestures” born from fans’ “deewangi” and clarified the viral clip was from an Australian concert two years ago.
Season 3 of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ premiered on June 21 with Salman Khan as the first guest. Since then, the show has featured Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha, the ‘Metro… In Dino’ cast, Jaideep Ahlawat, Vijay Varma, Pratik Gandhi, and cricketers Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishabh Pant, and Gautam Gambhir, among others.
