The first picture captured Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, and Rani Mukerji in an intense discussion, seemingly between takes of an emotional scene. The warmth between them radiated through the frame as Karan, in a bulky jacket, gestured animatedly while Rani listened intently in her white outfit.
Another still showed Karan directing Kajol in her wedding sequence, with the actress dressed in a heavily embellished lehenga and gold jewellery – a moment that instantly recalled the film’s emotional climax.
A behind-the-scenes gem featuring Rani Mukerji and Shah Rukh Khan took viewers straight into the college world of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Rani stood behind Karan, smiling softly, while SRK, dressed in bright orange T-shirt, looked deep in thought – a reflection of the easy camaraderie between the trio.
In another picture, Kajol, in her sporty red-and-white outfit, was seen talking to the late Yash Johar, likely discussing a scene from the film.
One of the most endearing frames featured Karan in conversation with the late actress Reema Lagoo. The filmmaker can be seen explaining a scene enthusiastically, his expressive hands doing most of the talking. Another shot captured the vibrant college fest setting – Archana Puran Singh’s dance with Anupam Kher (Principal Malhotra) and SRK watching on with his signature grin brought back the film’s joyous energy.
From candid moments of Karan and SRK sharing quiet exchanges on set to Kajol’s laughter-filled frames and Rani’s graceful presence – each photograph exuded the unfiltered emotion, warmth, and innocence that made ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ iconic.
Released in 1998, the film marked Karan Johar’s directorial debut and went on to become a cultural phenomenon, remembered for its iconic dialogues, soulful music, and the unforgettable chemistry of SRK and Kajol.
