“Ye Baatein Nahi…”: Kartik Aaryan On Sara Ali Khan Discussing Their Relationship On ‘KWK 8’
Kartik Aaryan recently said that he has never spoken about his relationships in public as he reacted to Sara Ali Khan discussing their relationship on ‘Koffee With Karan 8’.
Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday recently appeared on Karan Johar’s wildly popular talk show ‘Koffee With Karan 8’. The two talked about their friendship, past relationships, careers, and more. During their appearance on ‘Koffee With Karan’ latest episode, Karan Johar also asked them about the elephant in the room – Kartik Aaryan. For the unversed, Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday have both dated Kartik Aaryan in the past. While Ananya Panday avoided talking about it, Sara Ali Khan answered the question without mentioning Kartik Aaryan’s name.
In a new interview with Anupama Chopra for Film Companion, Kartik Aaryan said that he has never spoken about his relationships in public and he believes that others should respect that too.
In his interaction with Film Companion, the Bollywood actor made it clear that he only wishes to talk about his work and not his personal life. But Kartik Aaryan was questioned about how it feels being a regular topic of discussion on ‘KWK 8’.
He told Anupama Chopra, “Maine kabhi apne personal life ke baare mein baat nahi ki hai. I have never spoken about my personal life and main chahata bhi nahi hun ki vo baatein karun khud se. Matlab hamesha main apni filmon ki baatein karne jaata hun. Whenever we have interacted, we have always spoken about our films.”
The Bollywood actor further said, “It’s mostly and I don’t want to sound negative towards media saying this but vo aisa sound hoga he because vo aisi cheez uchalte hain. Uske baare mein zyada likhte hain. Vo ye zyada nahi likhte ki acha main Kabir Khan sir ki film kar raha hun. Anurag Basu is showing interest in working with me. Ya ye saari cheezein but they go for acha ye aaj coffee pe kiske saath tha. Usne phone uthaya tha ke nahi uthaya tha. I don’t know. Vo wali batein zyada interest deti hain.”
Kartik Aaryan continued speaking, “Ek cheez mujhe kayi baar ye bhi lagti hai ki – relationship agar do logo ki hai toh dusre insaan ko bhi woh baatein nahi karni chahiye. Hum sab ko apni relationship ki respect karni chahiye.”
Kartik Aaryan, who dated Sara Ali Khan while shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s 2020 Bollywood movie ‘Love Aaj Kal’, further reiterated that he has never spoken about his relationships and expects his former partners to not speak about these matters on public platforms either.
He added, “I have never spoken about my relationship. I expect the same from my partner. It’s not good for someone to speak about the relationship. If things don’t work out… par jab aap saath hote ho kisike toh you don’t imagine it to be like that. You don’t imagine ki yeh khatam ho jayega. You should respect that time, that moment.”
“You should respect yourself also. Aap jab woh baat karte ho toh aisa nahin hai ke samne wala ek he insaan ke baare mein woh soch raha hota hai, woh dono ke baare mein woh soch raha hota hai. So, I think no one should speak about their relationships that’s what I think. I have made my peace with it,” Kartik Aaryan concluded.
While Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan are not together anymore, they appear to be cordial with each other. They are often seen attending parties together. Ananya Panday and Kartik Aaryan also dated for a short while and their break-up was confirmed by Karan Johar and Ananya mother’s Bhavana Pandey on ‘Koffee With Karan’.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik Aaryan is currently shooting for Kabir Khan’s directorial ‘Chandu Champion’. The Bollywood star will also soon start working on ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
