Kartik Aaryan has carved a special place for himself in the hearts of India’s youth, and comparisons with Shah Rukh Khan are becoming increasingly common. Much like SRK, Kartik is an outsider who climbed his way to the top purely on talent and charm, making the parallels feel natural. After delivering a surprise blockbuster with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ – a film that emerged as an unlikely success story at the box office, ending the dry spell for Bollywood films in 2022 – Kartik’s superstardom only grew stronger. Now, with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, Kartik continues to ride the wave of mass appeal.

Kartik Aaryan has now revealed that even SRK was a big fan of his Bollywood film 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' as he opened up about the superstar's love for the Anees Bazmee directorial.

Speaking to Filmfare, Kartik Aaryan said, "Shah Rukh Khan is incredibly warm and kind. Whenever I meet him, he always discusses my films that he has watched."

"For instance, after the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, when we met during an event, he personally called me over to compliment the film, mentioning how much he enjoyed it. His willingness to genuinely congratulate and appreciate others is truly admirable and reflects his gracious nature," he added.

However, when asked if has praised any of his colleagues for their films, Kartik Aaryan responded by saying he is a shy character when it comes to picking up the phone and dropping a text.

“I do but I am a little shy when it comes to messaging, especially when I don’t have a personal connection with them. But I always try to do it when I meet them in person," Kartik Aaryan said.

Kartik Aaryan then recalled having a conversation with Vijay Sethupathi and how he loved the latter's performance in the Tamil film 'Maharaja', saying, "Recently, I had the opportunity to meet Vijay Sethupathi. I wouldn’t call him a colleague, but we crossed paths. For instance, during my visit to Chennai, I really enjoyed his film Maharaja and couldn’t help but praise his work when I met him. This is just one example."

"In the industry, it’s common for people to share their thoughts on each other’s work. I think that’s a positive practice. I reciprocate this whenever I can, though I’m mindful not to overstep or intrude into someone’s personal space," he added.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik Aaryan will next be seen in Anurag Basu's next, alongside Sreleela. The film is expected to be the third installment in the 'Aashiqui' franchise. It will release in theatres on Diwali 2025.

Kartik Aaryan will also be seen in 'Nagzilla', which will be bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. This will be Kartik’s second collaboration with Dharma Productions after their upcoming Valentine’s Day release ‘Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri’.
