“Puts Everyone In Vulnerable State”: Kartik Aaryan “Shocked” By Horrific Attack On Saif Ali Khan
Kartik Aaryan is now the latest Bollywood celebrity to react to the Saif Ali Khan stabbing incident.
The entire nation was left shocked after Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times by an intruder at his Bandra residence in Mumbai in the early hours of Thursday. The ‘Devara: Part 1’ actor is out of danger but continues to remain hospitalised. Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has now addressed the horrific stabbing incident, calling it “sad and scary”. He also said that it is praying for him and his family while wishing Saif Ali Khan a speedy recovery.
Kartik Aaryan spoke about the distressing news during the latest edition of SCREEN Live held in Mumbai. He said, “It is scary, it is sad. This puts everyone in a very vulnerable state. This incident has shocked everyone. I hope he is doing well. I will pray for him and his family. I wish him a speedy recovery.”
After the shocking stabbing incident, several users on the internet have also blamed the rising paparazzi culture and it resulting in decreased safety of stars.
Speaking on the same, Kartik Aaryan said, “In today’s scenario, it is not like we can hide from paparazzi. They know where we are going, and what we are doing. In some cases, it does get quite extreme, but it is important we understand that they are doing it for a living. In fact, it is a symbiotic relationship between paparazzi, media, and the actors. There is no solution for it per se.”
The actor added, “All of this is fine till it doesn’t compromise the safety of people. Yes, knowing our every whereabouts is dangerous, but there is a very distinct line between what we want to share, and what we want to keep private. If that privacy is disturbed, then it is shocking. But then it gets you thinking… we don’t have answers.”
It is important to state that Kartik Aaryan is yet to work with Saif Ali Khan, but he did share the screen with Saif's daughter Sara Ali Khan in Imtiaz Ali's ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’. The duo was also rumoured to be dating during the shooting of the film.
For the unversed, Saif Ali Khan was repeatedly stabbed with a knife by the intruder inside his apartment in Bandra. The actor was later deemed "out of danger" after doctors performed multiple surgeries. He was rushed to the hospital at 3:30 am.
As per Hindustan Times, Saif Ali Khan's domestic help raised the alarm when the intruder gained entry into the apartment. She also sustained a minor injury to her hand during the scuffle.
For the unversed, Saif and Kareena, who have been married since 2012, live in the Satguru Sharan building in Mumbai's Bandra West. They are parents to two sons -- Taimur (8) and Jeh (4).
Meanwhile, on the work front, Saif Ali Khan was last seen in ‘Devara: Part 1’, marking his Telugu debut. It also starred Janhvi Kapoor and Jr NTR.
