Unseen photos of Kartik Aaryan celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with Sreeleela and their families in Mumbai have gone viral, further fuelling dating rumours.
Even before they share screen space in Anurag Basu’s much-anticipated untitled musical saga, Indian stars Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela are making headlines for their off-screen camaraderie. Recently, Kartik celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with his family at their Mumbai home, where Sreeleela was also present during the Ganpati visarjan. Unseen photos from the occasion, shared on a Reddit page, have only intensified dating rumours surrounding the two.

One of the pictures, clicked by Kartik himself, showed Sreeleela posing with him and other family members in front of the Ganapati altar. Another snapshot captured both actors with their mothers – Sreeleela was seen chatting with Kartik’s mom, while he was seen looking at her. Adding to the speculation, the duo twinned in elegant white traditional outfits, which fans couldn’t help but notice.
Social media reactions to the photos were mixed. While one user gushed, “Kartik and Sreeleela look cute together; they look better than Kartik and Ananya,” another remarked, “Karthik is trying very hard to create rumours that link him with Sreeleela—it ain't happening.”
Comments ranged from playful — “Doctor, doctor, colour-coordinated family. Katori is so adorable” — to skeptical, with one person quipping, “He’s literally had an affair with every single one of his co-stars.”
Others felt the pairing made sense, with a fan writing, “Both come from educated doctor family backgrounds, plus Sreeleela has been Kartik’s sister’s friend way before they even signed a film together.” Some were even more direct: “Shaadi kardo inn dono ki.” Not everyone was pleased though — one fan admitted, “Feeling jealous as a Kartik Ananya shipper.”
The speculation isn’t new. Back in March during the IIFA Awards 2025, Kartik’s mother Mala Tiwari raised eyebrows when asked about her future daughter-in-law, replying, “The family’s demand is a very good doctor.” Fans immediately connected the dots since Sreeleela is currently pursuing a medical degree along with her acting career.
Earlier this year, she was also spotted at Kartik’s sister Dr Kritika Tiwari’s celebration, where a viral video showed her dancing to Pushpa 2’s ‘Kissik’ track while Kartik recorded her with a wide grin.
On Anant Chaturdashi, Kartik and his family bid farewell to Lord Ganesh, with the actor sharing glimpses of the visarjan on Instagram. His posts included aarti rituals performed with his mother and a candid shot of his beloved pet dog, Katori.
Work-wise, Kartik and Sreeleela recently shot for Anurag Basu’s upcoming film across picturesque locations in Sikkim including Gangtok, Tsomgo Lake, and MG Marg.
Kartik also has ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ with Ananya Panday, directed by Sameer Vidwans. It is slated to hit theatres on February 13, 2026 under the Dharma Productions banner.
