Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif became the latest celebrity to visit the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela. The ‘Tiger 3’ actress took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam on Monday. She also met Swami Chidanand Saraswati, president of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, to take his blessings. During her visit, she said that she is really fortunate to be able to witness the Mahakumbh Mela as she likes the energy and beauty of everything associated with it. Videos and photos of Katrina Kaif’s visit are going viral on social media.
Speaking to news agency ANI, she said, “I am very fortunate that I could come here this time. I am really happy and grateful. I met Swami Chidanand Saraswati and took his blessings. I am just starting my experience here. I like the energy, beauty, and significance of everything. I am looking forward to spending the whole day here.”
Katrina Kaif was accompanied by her mother-in-law for the trip. Earlier, Katrina's husband and actor Vicky Kaushal had also visited Mahakumbh ahead of the release of 'Chhaava'.
Akshay Kumar also participated in the revered ritual, as he took a dip in the Triveni Sangam, which is the holy confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. He then expressed his appreciation for the arrangements at the venue.
“I thank CM Yogi ji for making such good arrangements here... The facilities are excellent, and everything is so well-managed,” he said, as per Hindustan Times.
“I want to thank all the officials and security personnel for taking care of everyone here. They have ensured the safety and comfort of all the devotees,” he added.
For the unversed, the Maha Kumbh Mela will conclude on February 26, coinciding with Mahashivratri 2025.
Coming back to Katrina Kaif, she was last seen in ‘Merry Christmas’, alongside Vijay Sethupathi. She is expected to star alongside Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra in Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Jee Le Zaraa’.
Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif got married in an intimate ceremony on December 9, 2021. They tied the knot at the Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan, with only close friends and family in attendance.
