‘Kesari Chapter 2’ Teaser: Akshay Kumar Fights The British As C Sankaran Nair, Refuses To Be Called A “Slave”

Akshay Kumar is coming up with yet another gripping historical tale. The Bollywood superstar will next be seen in ‘Kesari Chapter 2’. The film delves into the lesser-known story of C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer and statesman who challenged the British Raj to expose the truth behind the horrific Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The makers, on Monday, unveiled the power-packed teaser. The clip begins with audio of women and men screaming as they run for their lives during the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre in Amritsar.
After the first thirty seconds, we are shown a glimpse of the Golden Temple in 1919. A voiceover then tells us how the British killed people who had gathered at the Jallianwala Bagh.
A few seconds later, Akshay Kumar appears as a lawyer who is talking to the judge inside the court. The judge then tells Akshay Kumar's character, “Don't forget you're still a slave of the British Empire.” Responding to this, Akshay's character storms off, saying, "F*** you."
Akshay Kumar shared the teaser on Instagram. In the caption, he wrote, “He held his head high.
He beat them at their game. He told them where to go. A genocide India must know about. A revolution painted in courage. #KesariChapter2 teaser out now.”

The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre happened on April 13, 1919. General REH Dyer ordered the Gurkha and Sikh infantry regiments to shoot after a large crowd gathered at the Jallianwala Bagh in Punjab's Amritsar to protest against the Rowlatt Act.
For the unversed, 'Kesari Chapter 2' will release in theatres on April 18. The film also stars R Madhavan and Ananya Panday. It has been directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. The movie is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.
The first part of 'Kesari' was released in 2019. The film followed the events leading to the Battle of Saragarhi. Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starred in the 2019 movie.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar was last seen in 'Sky Force', alongside Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan and Nimrit Kaur. The movie did a business of more than Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office.
Akshay Kumar also has 'Jolly LLB 3' with Arshad Warsi in the pipeline. He will also be seen in 'Housefull 5'.
