Akshay Kumar is all set to boggle our minds with yet another true story. The Bollywood superstar will next be seen in ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ alongside Ananya Panday and R Madhavan. Ahead of the film’s release this month, the makers on Thursday unveiled the trailer of the film. The historical drama has been directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. The upcoming Hindi film is a courtroom drama, which revisits the pain and trauma attached to the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. In the film, Akshay Kumar is playing the role of lawyer and statesman C Sankaran Nair.
The trailer shows how he is fighting against the British, responsible for the massacre. The trailer of the film begins with how the massacre unfolded in Amritsar. The trailer further shows how Akshay Kumar is fighting a legal battle with R Madhavan. The latter is playing the role of Neville Mckinley, who is defending the crown.
Ananya Panday is shown as someone who is studying law in the UK. Akshay Kumar shared the trailer on Instagram, saying, "This is a wound. This is a roar. This… is #KesariChapter2! Trailer out now. Link in bio.”

The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre happened on April 13, 1919. General REH Dyer ordered the Gurkha and Sikh infantry regiments to shoot after a large crowd gathered at the Jallianwala Bagh in Punjab's Amritsar to protest against the Rowlatt Act.
For the unversed, 'Kesari Chapter 2' will release in theatres on April 18. It has been produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.
The first part of 'Kesari' was released in 2019. The film followed the events leading to the Battle of Saragarhi. Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starred in the 2019 movie.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar was last seen in 'Sky Force', alongside Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan and Nimrit Kaur. The movie did a business of more than Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office.
Akshay Kumar also has 'Jolly LLB 3' with Arshad Warsi in the pipeline. He will also be seen in 'Housefull 5'.
