Here's how much 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' collected on Day 1.

Salman Khan came up with a Eid release in the theatres after a big gap, however, 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' has not gotten off to a good start at the box office. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the Farhad Samji-directorial collected an "underwhelming" amount on Day 1, if one compares it to Salman Khan's previous Eid releases such as 'Sultan', 'Bharat', 'Kick', 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and 'Tubelight'.

'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' collected a little more than Rs 15 crore on its opening day and all eyes are now on how much the movie makes on Saturday and Sunday. It is fair to say, that it's unlikely that the movie would mint Rs 100 crore by the time the weekend comes to a close.

"#KisiKaBhaiKisiKiJaan is underwhelming on Day 1… More so when one compares it with #SalmanKhan’s #Eid releases from 2010 to 2019… Metros weak, mass pockets better, but not great… Extremely important for biz to jump multi-fold today [#Eid]… Fri ₹ 15.81 cr. #India biz. #KBKJ," Taran Adarsh tweeted.

Salman Khan's Eid releases before 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' and their Day 1 box office collection is as follows:

2010: Dabangg -- Rs 14.50 cr
2011: Bodyguard -- Rs 21.60 cr
2012: EkThaTiger -- Rs 32.93 cr
2014: Kick -- Rs 26.40 cr
2015: BajrangiBhaijaan -- Rs 27.25 cr
2016: Sultan -- Rs 36.54 cr
2017: Tubelight -- Rs 21.15 cr
2018: Race3 -- Rs 29.17 cr
2019: Bharat -- Rs 42.30 cr

A Salman Khan Film production, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ is directed by Farhad Samji.

The film stars Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar.

The movie has been bashed left, right and centre by critics, while the audience has given a mixed review to the latest Hindi movie, with some calling it "paisa vasool", while others have termed it as a "disaster".
