Sharmila Tagore was left stunned after discovering that neither her son nor Karan Johar knew the meaning of "putra moh."

The latest 'Koffee With Karan' season 8 episode featured actor Saif Ali Khan and his mother Sharmila Tagore. On the episode, Saif Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore shared never-heard-before stories from Saif Ali Khan's childhood. However, Sharmila Tagore was left stunned after discovering that neither her son nor Karan Johar knew the meaning of "putra moh." When Karan Johar observed that Saif Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore share a unique relationship, Sharmila interrupted him, and said, "Putra moh."

Saif Ali Khan immediately asked, "What’s putra moh? Oh, it's Bengali."

To this, Sharmila Tagore said, "Excuse me, you are a Hindi film actor."

A confused Saif Ali Khan further asked, "What is moh? Like Gulmohar?”

Karan Johar then further asked Sharmila, "What is Putra Mohar?"

Finally giving up on both Karan Johar and Saif Ali Khan, Sharmila Tagore explained, "Moh means attachment.”

After Sharmila Tagore revealed the meaning, Karan and Saif both looked at her with wide eyes, and laughed at themselves for not knowing the meaning of the word 'moh'.

For the unversed, Saif Ali Khan has been a part of the Hindi film industry for the past three decades.

The actor had made his acting debut in 1993 with the movie 'Parampara'. 

Saif Ali Khan gained popularity after his performance in 'Dil Chahta Hai'. The actor was last seen in Om Raut's 'Adipurush' which also stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage.

The actor will next be seen in 'Devara', alongside Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor.
