‘Koffee With Karan 8’: The latest episode of Karan Johar’s talk show featured close friends Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty.
Ace filmmaker Karan Johar’s long-running chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’ has been truly entertaining this season. Several Bollywood celebrities such as Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, have let their guard down and opened up about their personal and professional lives. The ninth episode of the ongoing ‘KWK 8’ featured close friends Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, who would soon be collaborating for ‘Singham Again’, the third installment in the hit ‘Singham’ movie franchise.
The episode saw both Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn opening up about their friendship, and their box office successes and failures off late. Rohit Shetty candidly discussed the box office failure of Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Cirkus', saying he "failed" as a director.
However, it was the rapid fire round that brought out the best in both Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, and the duo gave some really fun answers. During the round, Ajay Devgn also named the things he would like to take from Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.
Karan Johar asked, “If you could take one thing from these following actors' careers, sorry not careers these actors, not careers, what will you take?”
When asked what would he take from Salman, Ajay replied, “Single status.”
On being asked to name the one thing he would he like to take from SRK, Ajay said, “His business acumen.”
Ajay Devgn replied “his eight hour shift contract and finish it in 40 days,” when asked to name what would he like to take from Khiladi Akshay Kumar.
When Karan Johar asked, “Shah Rukh or Salman? Who's the more bankable star?”, Ajay replied, "I think bank balance wise, Shah Rukh.”
To this, KJo said, “Yes, especially this year.”
Rohit Shetty said, “Yeah, it has been a great year.”
The rapid fire round was eventually won by Ajay Devgn. During the end of the episode, Karan Johar and Ajay Devgn also opened up about their feud which happened when their movies 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and 'Shivaay' clashed at the box office in 2016.
