Here's how actors like Kangana Ranaut, Hema Malini and Arun Govil performed at Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
2024 Lok Sabha Elections saw several Indian actors notch up victories. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who represented the ruling party BJP, from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, ended up securing the seat by a big margin. South actor Suresh Gopi also ended up creating history as he became the first BJP candidate to win in Kerala. He ended up securing the Thrissur constituency.
Telugu actor and JanaSena Party chief Pawan Kalyan also won the Pithapuram Assembly constituency with a margin of over 70,000 votes.
Actor Arun Govil, who is famos for playing Lord Ram in the popular Doordarshan series 'Ramayan', also won the Meerut Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh with 5,46,469 votes.
Bollywood actress Hema Malini also ended up securing the Mathura seat in Uttar Pradesh after receiving a total of 5,10,064 votes.
Shatrughan Sinha, a veteran actor and Trinamool Congress candidate, contested the Lok Sabha Polls 2024 from Asansol Lok Sabha constituency, West Bengal, and he ended up winning his seat.
Manoj Tiwari, a Bhojpuri superstar and BJP candidate from North-East Delhi Lok Sabha seat, ended up defeating Congress candidate and former JNU students’ union president Kanhaiya Kumar.
Talking about 'Laapataa Ladies' actor Ravi Kishan, he ended up emerging victorious from Gorakhpur after fighting elections on a BJP ticket.
Bollywood actor Anupam Kher congratulated Kangana Ranaut for her victory in Mandi. Sharing a video of Kangana with her mother, Anupam Kher wrote, "My dearest #Kangana! CONGRATULATIONS on your HUGE Victory! You are a #ROCKSTAR. Your journey is so so inspirational! So happy for you and the people of #Mandi and #HimachalPradesh. You have proved time and again that if one is focused and works hard toh kuch bhi hosakta hai. Jai Ho! #MemberParliament #KanganaRanaut #Winner."

Malayalam actors Mohanlal and Mammootty were also seen extending their congratulations to their fellow actor, who secured a victory in Kerala’s Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency.
“Hearty congrats dear Suresh on your victory," wrote Mammootty.
Coming to Lok Sabha Polls 2024, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is poised to secure a third term after winning 293 Lok Sabha seats.
The BJP, on its own, received a total of 240 seats, falling short of the 272-majority mark in the House of 543.
On the other hand, the INDIA alliance, has secured 232 seats, on the back of a strong performance by Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh and the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.
