"Made A Mistake": Palak Tiwari On Her Salman Khan’s "Neckline Rule" On Sets
Palak Tiwari had revealed that Salman Khan has a rule on his sets, regarding what women should wear.
Actress Palak Tiwari, who made her Bollywood debut in 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' has admitted that she made a mistake by saying that Salman Khan has a rule about what women should wear on the sets of his movies. Palak Tiwari's comments caused a huge stir and the actor was criticised for dictating what sorts of clothes women should wear. In an interview with Bombay Times, Palak Tiwari said: "“I made a mistake, I’ll learn and it’s something I’ll keep in mind for the rest of my life now.”
Earlier, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Palak Tiwari had revealed that his mother Shweta Tiwari was pleased when she found out that her daughter was working with Salman Khan.
“When I was AD-ing with Salman sir on Antim, I don’t think many people know this, Salman Sir had a rule ‘Ki koi bhi ladki mere set pe, neckline should be here (for every girl on my set, the neckline should be here), all the girls should be covered, like good proper girls’,” Palak had said.
Salman Khan had recently made an appearance on Rajat Sharma's India TV show 'Aap Ki Adalat'. It was during this episode that Salman Khan decided to address his no deep neckline rule for women on his film sets.
Journalist Rajat Sharma first initiated the conversation about the same, accusing Salman Khan of having double standards as he himself takes off his shirt in every movie.
Replying to this, Salman Khan said, "There is no double standard in it. I feel that a woman’s body is a lot more precious, so as much as it is covered, I feel it’s better.”
"Ye ladkiyo ka chakkar nahi hai, ye ladko ka chakkar hai. Jis hisab se ladke ladkiyo ko dekhte hai, aapki behne, aapki biwiya, aapki mothers, wo mujhe acha nahi lagta. Sab jaante hai, par kabhi kabhi inki neeyat kharab ho jaati hai, to koshish hai ki hum jab picture banaye, to hum unko ye mauka na de ki ye aake humare heroines ko, humari auraton ko iss prakar se dekhe," he added.
Talking about 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan', the new Hindi Bollywood movie has been directed by Farhad Samji.
