Actor Rio Kapadia, known for roles in movies like 'Chak de India' and 'Happy New Year' has died aged 66, as reported by Indian Express. The actor was last seen in Prime Video series 'Made In Heaven' Season 2. He had played the role of Mrunal Thakur's father in the second episode of Season 2. In the latest entertainment news, Rio Kapadia passed away on Thursday after a long battle with cancer. As per Indian Express, the actor's last rites will be held on Friday in Goregaon, Mumbai.

In 'Chak De India', Rio Kapadia had played the role of a commentator. He is also known for roles in movies like 'Dil Chahta Hai' and 'Khuda Hafiz'.

Rio Kapadia was also a popular TV serial actor, and he has starred in several daily soaps like 'Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke', 'Kutumb', 'Judwa Raja', and 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', among others. 

For the unversed, Rio Kapadia was also a sketch artist. He used to share glimpses of his work on social media.

He has drawn sketches of late actor Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, late Rishi Kapoor, late Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit, among others.

The actor's last social media post was on June 5 this year in which he had shared pictures from his vacation to Europe with family and friends.
