Makers Of Katrina Kaif, Vijay Sethupathi-Starrer ‘Merry Christmas’ Announce Release Date With Intriguing Posters
The makers of Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Merry Christmas’ announced the release date of the film along with intriguing new posters.
Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming film, ‘Merry Christmas’, has finally got a release date. Helmed by Sriram Raghavan, the film marks the first collaboration between Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi. It will release in theatres on December 15, 2023. The makers of ‘Merry Christmas’ announced the release date of the film along with unveiling new posters featuring Katrina and Vijay, which exude a vintage vibe. In the posters, both Katrina and Vijay can be seen in a slightly serious mood.
There is a taxi in the poster and a quote which reads, “Raat jitni saangeen hogi, subaha utni rangeen hogi.” The caption along with the poster read, “We decided to cut short the wait for the Christmas cheer! #MerryChristmas releasing in theatres near you ON 15th DECEMBER 2023.”

The thriller, which has been shot in two languages, will be released theatrically in Hindi and Tamil. Apart from Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in the poster, a dark figure could be seen on the streets carrying a soft toy on his back at some spots such as a cinema hall and bakeries featured depicting night time in a city.
The makers also shared another poster for the Tamil version of ‘Merry Christmas’. The lead stars, Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, featured in the poster with a red effect.

‘Merry Christmas’ is Sriram Raghavan's first film since the National award-winning ‘Andhadhun’ (2018) starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte. The filmmaker is known for his neo-noir thrillers and ‘Merry Christmas’ is being touted as another suspense film with a twist.
Besides Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, the Hindi version of ‘Merry Christmas’ will also star Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand. Meanwhile, the Tamil version has Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams.
Ashwini Kalsekar and Radhika Apte will be seen in an exciting cameo appearances. Reportedly, the crime thriller will revolve around an uneventful day that turns Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s worlds upside down. It is about an event that takes place on Christmas Eve.
Katrina Kaif was last seen in the horror comedy film ‘Phone Bhoot’. She will be next seen opposite Salman Khan in ‘Tiger 3’, which is scheduled to release on November 10, 2023.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in ‘Jawan’ co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara.
