On Monday, Yash Raj Films took to Instagram to share a powerful picture of Rani in character. Dressed in a black shirt, blue denims, and black boots, she’s seen gripping a gun, pointing it straight at the camera with fearless intensity.
Alongside the reveal, the caption read, “The countdown begins for #Mardaani3! On Holi, good will fight evil as Shivani Shivaji Roy returns to the big screen on February 27, 2026.”

While Holi will be celebrated on March 4 in 2026, the film’s release just ahead of the festival highlights its central theme – the ultimate showdown between good and evil. The makers have promised a gritty, violent clash between Shivani’s unwavering pursuit of justice and the dark forces she must bring down.
Sharing her thoughts on the film, Rani Mukerji described ‘Mardaani 3’ as a “dark, deadly and brutal” edge-of-the-seat thriller.
And if fan reactions to the first look are anything to go by, the anticipation is through the roof. One user wrote, “This one franchise is far, far better than all Salman and Ranbir movies.”
