'Adipurush', which released in the theatres on June 16, is receiving flak from all corners.

'Adipurush' directed by Om Raut, was expected to win over the audiences as it is based on epic 'Ramayana'. The new Hindi movie boasts of a solid star cast including Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Devdatta Nage and Sunny Singh. In the latest entertainment news, the movie which released in theatres on June 16 is receiving flak from all corners and internet is flooded with hilarious memes.

The direction of Om Raut has been ripped apart by the audiences on Twitter, and we cannot even tell you how badly the VFX of 'Adipurush' is being trolled.

The dialogues of the movie are being called out as "cringeworthy". However, the biggest criticism has been coming towards the portrayal of Lord Hanuman and Ravana, and how badly they have been written.

Here are some of the most hilarious memes:

In the movie 'Adipurush', Prabhas is playing Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon is essaying the role of Sita while Saif Ali Khan is portraying Raavan (Lankesh). Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage are portraying the roles of Lakshman and Lord Hanuman respectively.

'Adipurush' which was one of the most anticipated movies of 2023, was also slated to have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 13 but the movie was not played at the prestigious festival.

The 'Adipurush' teaser came out last year, however, it did not meet expectations as netizens slammed the makers for questionable VFX effects. After that, the release date was postponed from January 2023 to July 2023.

‘Adipurush’ had earlier courted controversy, including boycott calls, when many objected to the depiction of Hindu deities and inferior quality of visual effects in the teaser of the film launched in October.
