Alia Bhatt has become the internet's darling ever since she made an appearance at the Met Gala 2024. The ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ actress looked like a dream as she wore a gorgeous pastel mint green-coloured saree, designed by Sabyasachi. Alia Bhatt's traditional wonder is making global headlines, and several international publications are going gaga over the Bollywood diva’s look at the biggest fashion event. Alia Bhatt’s look was also appreciated by her mother-in-law and veteran actress Neetu Kapoor and sister-in-law Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.
During the event, Alia Bhatt proudly embraced the Indian culture by wearing the gorgeous Sabyasachi saree and warding off the evil eye in a desi way. She was spotted wearing a kajal dot behind her ear, which is a traditional Indian practice.
The ‘kala tikka’ can be seen as she poses for a picture on the red carpet of Met Gala 2024.

For the unversed, Alia Bhatt has already returned to Mumbai after attending the event. She was papped at the airport, wearing a pair of blue denims, grey blazer and a white T-shirt.

Earlier, speaking to Vogue about her Met Gala look, Alia Bhatt said, “I’m feeling great. I’m feeling very excited. Months of preparation, lots of conversations and all builds up to this one moment. It’s so surreal but it’s also very special. It’s my second time at the Met, but my first time wearing a saree. When I thought of the dress code, ‘Garden of Time’, I felt it needed something timeless and there’s nothing timeless than a saree.”
“It’s not about giving yourself too much pressure and taking it seriously. It’s a massive and big deal but it was also about having fun and light on the inside, so that your face looks lit up and happy. That’s something I was focusing on. Having said that, I really had a lovely time,” she added.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ apart from her Hollywood debut ‘Heart of Stone’.
She will soon be seen in Vasan Bala’s ‘Jigra’, co-starring Vedang Raina who made his acting debut in 2023 with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’.
Alia Bhatt will also feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’. The film will also star Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
