‘Mr. And Mrs. Mahi’, Starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, Postponed. Check Out New Release Date
‘Mr. And Mrs. Mahi’, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, was set to release on March 15 next year, but now has a new release date.
‘Mr. And Mrs. Mahi’ will see Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao reuniting on the big screen following their exploits in 2021 with the Bollywood film ‘Roohi’. The pairing had received a lot of love for their performance together and that has only increased the anticipation to see them do a film together again. Earlier, the new Hindi movie was set to hit the theatres on March 15, 2024, something that Dharma Productions themselves had ratified. Now, it seems Dharma Productions has got Zee Studios also on board, and the new Hindi movie has also been postponed by a month. ‘Mr. And Mrs. Mahi’ will now release on April 19, 2024.
Apart from Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor will also be reuniting with a director she has worked before in the form of Sharan Sharma.
The duo had collaborated together in the 2020 Bollywood movie Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, which had also starred Angad Bedi and Pankaj Tripathi among others.
“Zee Studios and Dharma Productions, two of India's leading production houses, are thrilled to announce the release date of their highly anticipated film, Mr. and Mrs. Mahi. Marking their second collaboration, the film features the powerhouse duo of Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor. Directed by Sharan Sharma, who helmed the critically acclaimed Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, the film is set to hit theaters on April 19th, 2024,” said a media release.
As per several reports, Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor are playing the roles of Mahendra and Mahima, a married couple in the romantic sports drama, which is based on the lead pair's passion for cricket.
Earlier, several pictures of Janhvi Kapoor in a cricket jersey had gone viral on the internet, hinting that her character in the film is of a cricketer. However, the makers have not revealed anything regarding Rajkummar Rao's character in the film.
