Mukesh Khanna shared a video and an Instagram post, where he criticised Ranveer Singh for his nude photoshoot.

Mukesh Khanna was quite a rage back in the day when he starred in uber-popular TV show 'Shaktimaan'. The actor played the role of India's first superhero, and till now, he is known as the 'Shaktimaan' actor. Recently, rumours started doing the rounds that Ranveer Singh has been roped in to play 'Shaktimaan' in a full feature film. In the latest Bollywood news, Mukesh Khanna has shared a video and an Instagram post, in which he denied reports of Ranveer Singh being cast as 'Shaktimaan'. 

In the latest Bollywood news, Mukesh Khanna took to his Instagram handle to share a collage of himself and Ranveer Singh. The actor captioned the post as, "Pura social media mahinon se is rumour se bhara pada tha ki Ranveer karega Shaktimaan. Aur har koi naaraz tha ise lekar. Main chup raha. Lekin jub channels ne bhi elaan karna shuru kar diya ki Ranveer sign ho gaya hai. To mujhe muhn kholana pada. Aur maine bol diya ki aisi image wala vyakti kitna bhi bada star kyon na ho Shaktimaan nahin ban sakta. I have put my foot down. Ab Aaga aage dekhiye hota hai kya ??"

Mukesh Khanna also posted a video on his YouTube channel where he criticised Ranveer Singh's nude photoshoot for Paper Magazine, as per the latest Bollywood news.

Bashing Ranveer Singh, Mukesh Khanna said, "If he feels comfortable with nudity then he should go to countries where he can do nude scenes in every third scene. I have told the producers, that your competition is not with Spider-Man, Batman, Captain Planet. Shaktimaan is not just a superhero, he has also become a super teacher." 

"Now, the actor who takes on the role should have the quality that when he speaks, people will listen. There are big actors, but their image comes in the middle," he added.

For the unversed, Mukesh Khanna rose to fame with BR Chopra's 1988 television show 'Mahabharat', in which he played the role of Bhishma Pitamah. 

In the latest Bollywood news, Ranveer Singh was last seen in Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', alongside Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. 

Ranveer will next be seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again', alongside Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film is slated to release in cinemas on August 15, 2024.
