Mukesh Khanna has slammed Ranveer Allahbadia over his recent controversy.

‘Shaktimaan’ actor Mukesh Khanna has lambasted YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, aka Beer Biceps, for making a crass joke during his appearance on comedian Samay Raina’s show ‘India's Got Latent’. The veteran actor said that the youth of the country has been given undue liberty, and hence some are using the freedom of expression to spread vulgarity. He further called it a serious offence, saying it should not be taken lightly.

“It is sad that a succesful You tuber like Ranveer Allahbadia made a horrible statement in a program called India got Talent. Something to do with parents and sex. It enraged the whole nation. This reflects the undue liberty given today to youth of our country to misuse the power of Freedom of Expression. This is not the first time the limit has been crossed,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“This is a serious offence. It should not be taken lightly.  Offenders should be punished heavily in order to discourage people in future making such ashleel and irresponsible statements. I have a punishment for such people. Kaala muh karke gadhe par bitha kar unhe sheher me ghumao. Next time koi naheen karega,” he added.

Ranveer Allahbadia's appearance on ‘India's Got Latent’ has received a huge backlash. During the show, Ranveer asked a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?”

The comment has been heavily criticised on social media as several users have expressed their disappointment.

Ranveer Allahbadia later issued an apology on Instagram, saying, “I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s Got Latent. I’m sorry. My comment wasn’t appropriate. It wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I’m just here to say sorry.”

“Many of you asked if this is how I wished to use my platform, and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context, justification, or reasoning behind whatever happened. I’m just here to apologise,” he added.

Multiple complaints have been filed against Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina and an investigation is going on in the matter.

For the unversed, YouTube recently removed the controversial episode after receiving a notice from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry. Reportedly, Priyank Kanoongo, a member of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), had also sought the video's removal.
