Nana Patekar Says He Couldn't Sit Through Recent "Ghinoni" Movie, Internet Thinks He's Talking About 'Gadar 2'

Actor Nana Patekar is all set to make his acting comeback with Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Vaccine War'. The trailer of the new Hindi movie was unveiled on Tuesday evening, and at the trailer launch event, director Vivek Agnihotri and actor Nana Patekar interacted with the media. In the latest entertainment news, Nana Patekar shared his views on a recent "ghinoni" movie that has done very well at the box office.
"Ab jis tarah ki filmein hit ho rahi hain... maine kal ek film jo bahut hi hit hui maine dekhi woh... Main matlab puri dekhi nahi pa raha tha. Lekin woh filmein bahut chalti hain. Ab mujhe lagta hai ki baar-baar hum iss tarike ka material dikhake logo ko majboor kartein hain yeh pasand karne ke liye," said Nana Patekar.
Speaking further about nepotism, Nana Patekar said: "Main actor hoon. Kal main apne bete ko actor banana chahta hoon, uski aukat ho na ho. Lekin main toh thopna chahta hoon aap ke upar. Ek film uski gir jaye, chalo doosri film mein main loonga, teesri film mein bhi... dus filmein hone ke baad apko uski buraiyan kam nazar aane lagti hain. Aur ahista-ahista usko aap apnane lagte ho. Aur ek din woh humare sar pe baithta hai. Aisa aaj woh chitra hai hamare yahan films ka. Kuch aisi ghinoni films hai, aur woh (filmmakers) humko dekhne pe majboor karte hain, aur humko ahista-ahista lagta hai ki 'Nahi ye hi achi film hai."

Now, fans are wondering whether Nana Patekar took a dig at Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel-starrer 'Gadar 2', which has made more than Rs 500 crore in India.

Talking about 'Gadar 2', the movie recently surpassed 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' to become the second-highest grossing Hindi movie ever.
‘Gadar 2’ is written by Shaktimaan Talwar. It stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Rakesh Bedi, Simrat Kaur and Manish Wadhwa among others. Set in the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, the film follows the story of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) as he goes to Pakistan to save his son (Utkarsh Sharma) from captivity.
Besides Sunny Deol, Utkarsh Sharma and Ameesha Patel, ‘Gadar 2’ also stars Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, Simrat Kaur, Luv Sinha, Rakesh Bedi and Dolly Bindra.
The film is a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, which was also directed by Anil Sharma. ‘Gadar’ was a massive hit in 2001, when it clashed against the critically acclaimed ‘Lagaan’, which starred Aamir Khan.
