"Get Married For…": Nora Fatehi's Shocking Claim About Bollywood Couples
Nora Fatehi made a stunning remark about “most” celebrity couples in Bollywood, alleging that many of them are staying together just to stay relevant.
Nora Fatehi, who was last seen in Kunal Kemmu's 'Madgaon Express', is winning praise for her work in the film and many feel that this is the first time that the actress has a lasting impression in terms of her performance as an actor. In the latest entertainment news, Nora Fatehi, who is known for her dancing skills, made an appearance on 'The Ranveer Allahbadia Podcast, and it was there that she spoke about clout predators, and who use others for their fame, power or money.
During the conversation, Nora Fatehi also revealed that celebrity couples pretend to be in love, and she also alleged that many of them are staying together just to stay relevant.
"Clout predators, they just want to use you for your fame. They can't with me… that's why you don't see me running around with guys or dating... but I see it is happening in front of me. In the film industry, people get married for clout. People use these wives or husbands for networking and for circles, for money, for relevance even. They think, 'I have to marry that person so I can stay relevant for the three years because she has a few films releasing and they were doing well at the box office, so I have got to ride that wave'. People are that calculative. Those are predators, too," Hindustan Times quoted Nora Fatehi as saying.
“(It all comes out of a need for) money and fame... these guys and girls will destroy their whole life for money, fame and power. Nothing is worse than getting married to someone that you don't even love and then living with them for years... most of the people in our industry are here doing that nonsense. Just because they want to be in the right camp and circles," she added.
Speaking further about the same, Nora Fatehi said, "They want to be relevant, because they don't know where their career is going to go. So, they need some backup plan – plan A, plan B and plan C... I don't understand sacrificing your personal life, mental health and happiness because work is work, home life and personal life is something else. You can't mix them both because then you will never be happy. And then you'll wonder why you are depressed and suicidal.”
For the unversed, Nora Fatehi was born and raised in Canada and she is of Moroccan descent.
During the podcast, Nora Fatehi also spoke about Shah Rukh Khan and how the Bollywood actor enjoys popularity like no other star.
“He worked towards maintaining this aura and it is also God given. He didn’t buy it from the supermarket. When he became aware of it, when he understood the responsibility he has to it and what it brought to him, he understood how to carry himself with it. It’s beautiful, special and very rare also. We have so many stars in the film industry but only a few of them carry a larger than life aura," said Nora Fatehi while speaking about SRK.
"Canada is still a cosmopolitan place. We have lot of Indian and South Asians but all the countries in Africa would know who Shah Rukh Khan is. Be it Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Somalia and Egypt, all of them would know Shah Rukh Khan. He is the ambassador of Bollywood. He is ambassador of India," she added.
Nora Fatehi had started her career in Bollywood with the film 'Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans' in 2014.
Nora then appeared opposite Varun Dhawan in Street Dancer 3D (2020). Not many people know but for her role in 'Batla House' (2019), she won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 66th Filmfare Awards.
