“Sherni”: Ranveer Singh Gives Shoutout To Wife Deepika Padukone’s Cop Avatar From ‘Singham Again’
Ranveer Singh recently praised Deepika Padukone’s cop avatar from Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’.
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who was last seen alongside Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor in the 2024 Hindi movie ‘Fighter’, is currently working on Rohit Shetty’s upcoming directorial venture ‘Singham Again’. Last week, she was spotted on the sets of the film shooting with Rohit Shetty and several others. In the pictures, Deepika Padukone was seen in a police uniform with her hair tied in a bun. Recently, she shared a picture of herself as “Lady Singham” Shakti Shetty from the upcoming film.
Now, actor Ranveer Singh has given a shoutout to his wife Deepika Padukone’s cop avatar from the Rohit Shetty directorial. Taking to his Instagram Stories, Ranveer Singh shared Deepika Padukone’s look from the movie with the hit song ‘Singham’, sung by Sukhwinder Singh, playing in the background.
Along with sharing her look from ‘Singham Again’, Ranveer Singh wrote on his IG Story, “Sherni”.

Deepika Padukone looked fiery and fearless donning the police uniform. With a colourful backdrop, the Bollywood actress can be seen emulating the famous hand gesture of Ajay Devgn from the first ‘Singham’ movie, with sunglasses on.
Reportedly, Deepika Padukone has a prominent role in the movie. Back in 2023, Rohit Shetty said that ‘Singham Again’ would feature Deepika as one of the heroes.
He said, “She is like one of the heroes, and what we are doing with it is that we will go with her story. We will make a film that has only Deepika. It is her story. Like Sooryavanshi, Singham, and Simmba, the films had already been made and people knew about them, but with Singham again, we are introducing these characters, and then we will tell their stories.”
The upcoming film was announced by Rohit Shetty on the first day of Navratri in October last year. Apart from Deepika Padukone, ‘Singham Again’ will feature Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film is expected to release in the theatres on August 15, 2024.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is expecting her first child with Ranveer Singh. The two announced their pregnancy in February 2024 on social media. Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in November 2018 after dating each other for several years.
Apart from ‘Singham Again’, Deepika Padukone will soon be seen alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.
