Ranveer Singh Reveals How Long It Took Him To Learn Kathak For ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’

The Bollywood actor is being widely applauded for his performance as Rocky Randhawa in the new Hindi movie. According to the latest Bollywood update today, Ranveer Singh starred opposite Alia Bhatt, who played the role of Rani Chatterjee in the romantic comedy drama. Ranveer Singh's dance to the hit ‘Devdas’ song ‘Dola Re Dola’ with actor Tota Roy Choudhury is one of the highlights of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
Tota Roy Choudhury plays Alia Bhatt's father Chandon Chatterjee in the film. Ranveer was asked about doing Kathak during the Durga Puja sequence with Tota Roy Choudhury's character, who is a Kathak dancer in the movie, as per the latest Bollywood update today.
In the latest Bollywood update today, Ranveer Singh revealed that he trained for a month to learn the nuances of Kathak. A fan asked Ranveer, “Your Kathak in the film was surprising, how much time did you take to learn?
To this, the actor attached a still from the song and wrote, “It took about a month. It was difficult to imbibe the essential grace in the dance form, given all the muscle mass that I was packing at the time.”
While interacting with his fans, Ranveer Singh also shared that he is overwhelmed by the love he has been getting, which includes letters of appreciation from fans, “There has been such an immense outpouring of love for Rocky. I’m overwhelmed…lambe lambe love letters mil rahe hain..I’m so grateful.”
The Bollywood actor also revealed that his favourite scene from the new Hindi movie was the monologue.
‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, which also stars Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, Churni Ganguly, Aamir Bashir, Kshitee Jog and Anjali Anand, has been performing well at the box office.
According to trade website Sacnilk, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ earned Rs 4.25 crore on its 11th day of release. The film’s total collection currently stands at Rs 109.33 crore.
Coming back to Ranveer Singh, he will reportedly star as the lead in Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 3’. The filmmaker recently announced the third instalment in the hit ‘Don’ franchise. He shared a teaser announcing the film on social media.
