Rashmika Mandanna recently recreated Vicky Kaushal’s viral dance on the hit song ‘Obsessed’ before the box office clash of their films ‘Animal’ and ‘Sam Bahadur’.
Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal’s videos featuring him grooving to new Punjabi songs often go viral on the internet. Riar Saab and Abhijay Sharma’s Punjabi song ‘Obsessed’ took the social media by storm after Vicky Kaushal showed off his fun dance moves on the track. After his dance video on ‘Obsessed’ broke the internet, he recreated his killer steps while promoting his new Hindi movie ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ co-starring Sara Ali Khan. Recently, Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna recreated Vicky Kaushal’s viral dance on the hit Punjabi song.
Rashmika Mandanna, who has over 35 million followers on Instagram, recently conducted an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram Stories during which she shared the video of her dancing on ‘Obsessed’ to answer the question about her favourite song.
The video was reshared by a fan page dedicated to Rashmika Mandanna on Instagram.
In the video, Rashmika Mandanna can be seen in a cream-white dress. The video featured Rashmika flashing her million-dollar smile and doing the dance steps which were earlier performed by Vicky.
This comes as Rashmika Mandanna and Vicky Kaushal’s films will lock horns at the box office. For the unversed, Rashmika’s ‘Animal’ will release on December 11, the same day as Vicky Kaushal's ‘Sam Bahadur’.
Rashmika Mandanna recently wrapped up the shooting of ‘Animal’. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of ‘Kabir Singh’ fame, ‘Animal’ also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in lead roles.
‘Animal’ was earlier scheduled to release on August 11 alongside Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ and Sunny Deol-starrer ‘Gadar 2’. However, it was recently pushed to December.
Besides ‘Animal’, Rashmika Mandanna will also be seen in ‘Pushpa: The Rule’. She is currently shooting for the upcoming film, which also stars Allu Arjun in the lead role.
The first movie in the franchise was ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, directed by Sukumar, which was released in theatres in 2021 and went on to become a massive hit.
Rashmika Mandanna also has ‘Rainbow’ and ‘VNR Trio’ in her kitty. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal is currently basking in the success of his new Hindi movie ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, which has so far grossed Rs 87.03 crore.
Vicky Kaushal’s next ‘Sam Bahadur’ is directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The movie is based on the story of India's war hero and first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
Apart from ‘Sam Bahadur’, Vicky Kaushal will also star in Karan Johar’s new production venture, which will also feature Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk.
The makers of the film, directed by Anand Tiwari, are yet to reveal the title of the new Hindi movie. The romantic comedy is set to release in cinemas on February 23, 2024.
