Rashmika Mandanna, fondly referred to as the ‘national crush’ by her fans, is one of the most popular actresses in the South and Hindi film industries. The Indian actress, who became a household name after starring in the Telugu blockbuster ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, has been constantly in the limelight after her last release ‘Animal’. She starred in the 2023 Hindi movie alongside Ranbir Kapoor. ‘Animal’, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’ fame, also starred Triptii Dimri, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Shakti Kapoor.

Over the years, Rashmika Mandanna has made it a habit to call out her trolls, and the ‘Pushpa’ actress has now given a fitting reply to a troll who claimed that the actress signed her 2022 Telugu movie ‘Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu’ because of her co-star Sharwanand and director Kishore Tirumala.

Replying to the troll, Rashmika Mandanna said on X (formerly Twitter), “Said who re? I only do films Cz I believe in the script. And being able to work with the cast and crew has been an honor. I wonder where all of this baseless news starts from.”

For the unversed, ‘Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu’ tanked at the box office and had received mixed reviews from critics.

Earlier, Rashmika Mandanna had refuted an online portal's claim that she has increased her fees following the success of ‘Animal’.

Taking a dig at the report, the actress wrote on X, "Says who I wonder.. after seeing all of this I think I should actually consider it.. and if my producers ask why.. then I’ll just say ‘media out there is saying this sir.. and I think I should live up to their words.. what do I do?"

For the unversed, 'Animal' released in theatres on December 1, 2023, and the film went on to do business of more than Rs 900 crore globally.

The Hindi movie has been criticised heavily for glorifying toxic masculinity and misogyny. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has also been hitting back at the critics of his films.

Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna will next be seen in 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'. She also has 'Chhava' in the pipeline, in which Rashmika will be sharing the screen with Vicky Kaushal.

In the film, Vicky Kaushal will be playing Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika will play the role of his wife.

The movie is being directed by Laxman Utekar, who had earlier helmed Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan's 'Zara Hatke Zara Bachke'.
