“Genuine Mistake”: Raveena Tandon Apologises For Liking Post Criticising Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor’s Acting In ‘The Archies’

Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’ recently released on Netflix. The new Hindi movie marked the acting debut of star kids Suhana Khan (Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter), Agastya Nanda (Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson) and Khushi Kapoor (Boney Kapoor’s daughter). Several clips from the Netflix movie featuring the star kids are going viral on social media. While a section of people are trolling them for their acting, others are defending the young actors saying it’s their debut movie.
Recently, actress Raveena Tandon was called out for liking a social media post, which was mocking Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor. The viral post, which mocked Agastya and Khushi’s acting in the film, had the text, "Acting died here. #Archies,” written on it.
The post showed a like by Raveena Tandon. As soon as the screenshot went viral, several users slammed Raveena Tandon, reminding her that her daughter Rasha Thadani would also be making her Bollywood debut soon.
Now, Raveena Tandon has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to issue a clarification, saying the like on the post was a “genuine mistake”.
“Touch buttons and social media. A genuine mistake has been blown out of proportion. The like was made in error and something that I was not even aware of that had been pressed by scrolling. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and hurt it may have caused,” she wrote.
For the unversed, Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’ was released on Netflix on December 7, and the movie opened to mixed reviews.
The film marks the debut of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, and Boney Kapoor and late Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor.
‘The Archies’ also stars Vendant Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Dot, and Yuvraj Menda.
Talking about Raveena Tandon, her daughter Rasha Thadani is also expected to make her Bollywood debut soon alongside Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aaman Devgan in a yet-to-be titled film.
On the work front, Raveena Tandon will next be seen in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, alongside Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Dutt, and Jacqueliene Fernandez.
