Richa Chadha Defends Deepika Padukone After Netizens Troll Her For Wearing Heels During Pregnancy

Bollywood actress Richa Chadha, who recently featured in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT debut series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, won immense praise for her performance in the show. Apart from experiencing a professional high, Richa Chadha is also living one of the most beautiful phases of her personal life as she is expecting her first child with husband and actor Ali Fazal in July 2024. The Bollywood actress, who is known for her strong and unfiltered opinions, recently came in support of fellow actress Deepika Padukone, who will soon welcome her first baby with actor-husband Ranveer Singh.
A few days ago, Deepika Padukone attended the pre-release event of her upcoming movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in Mumbai. The soon-to-be mother was seen wearing a black bodycon midi dress and matching black tie-up high heels. However, Deepika was called out by a social media user for wearing heels.
Richa Chadha has now come in support of Deepika Padukone and slammed the netizen. A social media influencer made a video backing Deepika Padukone. Richa Chadha commented under the Instagram Reel, stating, “no uterus, no gyaan.”
Richa Chadha seems to be a ‘Friends’ fan as the dialogue, “no uterus, no opinion”, featured in the episode 14 of the eighth season.
For the unversed, the Bollywood actress has previously worked with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She reunited with the filmmaker on his OTT debut series, ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’.
In February, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh took to Instagram and made a joint announcement sharing the happy news. They shared a cute image adorned with animated baby items with “September 2024” written, which indicated the time of the arrival of their first child.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika Padukone’s sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, is slated to release on June 27, 2024. She will also be seen in ‘Singham Again’.
