Vijay, known for his exceptional talent, has choreographed sequences featuring specially-abled children in the film. Rupali reflected on his journey from ‘Taare Zameen Par’ to this spiritual successor of sorts, calling ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ “a film with a heart.”

Sharing glimpses from her meet with Aamir Khan and the team, Rupali Ganguly wrote, “Sitaare Zameen Par ….. a film with a heart. A film special to me for many reasons. This marks a journey for my super gifted sibling … my Pappas favourite child @vijayganguly ….from a beginning with “Bum Bum Bole “ in Taare Zameen Par , to this film with Aamir Sir where he has solo credits as a choreographer …I feel so so so proud when i see ur name on screen.”

She shared how proud she felt seeing his solo credit on screen and highlighted how his 15 years of experience in training specially-abled children shines through in the choreography, which subtly blends into the film and stands out when needed.

Rupali also expressed her gratitude to director RS Prasanna, calling him “a genius” for envisioning and executing a story so full of soul. She gave a special shoutout to writer Divy Nidhi Sharma – also the dialogue writer of her hit show ‘Anupamaa’ – for infusing the film with heart through his writing, which she said gave her “goose bumps.”

Her post also included warm mentions of actor Rishi Shahani, her friend and former dance partner, who made his acting debut in the film. She fondly recalled their bond and praised the ensemble of talented special actors she met on set – Satbir, Bantu, Raju, Sunil, Kareem, and Lotus, who she called “the man with the best jokes.”

Sitaare Zameen Par’, starring Aamir Khan as a basketball coach mentoring differently-abled youngsters, takes audiences on a ride full of a heartfelt celebration of talent, resilience, and inclusivity.

The movie marks Aamir Khan’s first hit since 2017’s ‘Secret Superstar’ as ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ continues to rake in the moolah at the ticket counters.
